Chuanrong Wang
Ms. Chuanrong WANG is a Senior Expert with more than 20 years’ experience on donor funded projects on sustainability development (EC, ADB. WB, AFD, USAID, EIB, EBRD, etc). She mainly devotes to promoting sustainable development and green economy in developing countries, focusing on the topics of Circular Economy, Climate Change, Environment, Sustainable Consumption and Production, and Energy Efficiency, especially linking policy dialogues, development and cooperation between Europe to worldwide.
She has strong skills on policy review and analysis, stakeholder consultation and engagement, data collection and analysis, action road mapping, gap analysis of existing policies and recommend needs and modalities for the strengthening of existing policies and institutions arrangements. She also specialized in SDG integration in climate change and circular economy strategic policy mapping and development, as well as monitoring and assessment of implementation at the national and project levels.
Notably, she led the operation of the UNEP/ UNESCAP Regional Helpdesk on SCP in Asia and the Pacific, as well as the USAID Sino-US Climate Action Partnership. She worked on policy issues for the EU-China Clean Energy Centre and the EU SWITCH Asia Policy Support Component for Sri Lanka, as well as in Sao Tome et. Principle, Ghana. She conducted Environment and Social Impact Assessment missions in several countries for initiatives financed by EC, UN, NAMA, EIB etc.
She has MSc degree in International Material Flow Management in Germany and BSc of Chemistry in China. Currently she is completing Executive MBA from KEDGE Business School in France on international business decision.
