I am an Architect, a Photographer and an Artist with a keen interest in Urban Planning. My interests have always revolved around buildings, their form and the landscape that surrounds them. I was always fascinated by how people perceive space and how the character of each space changes with time and use.

The TUEWAS Women Expert Database is important as it showcases the knowledge and contributions of women in diverse fields such as transport, urbanism, water, energy, and climate in Asia. By highlighting female experts, the database supports gender equality and raises the profile of women professionals in sectors typically dominated by men. It provides a platform to display the valuable expertise of women, promoting diversity and inclusivity in these industries. Furthermore, the database tackles the issue of underrepresentation of women in expert roles, encouraging a more balanced and fair representation of expertise across various sectors.

After my B.Arch. degree, I was working with C.AT LaBISHaS Design Lab as an assistant architect. AT CLDL, we had an urban design project. In the project, I was part of the core team and was the supervising architect.

Due to my inclination towards urban planning, I applied at the Directorate of Urban Affairs as an urban planner under TULIP internship by MoHUA and secured first rank in the interview. I worked at the department for eight months. It gave me the opportunities to grow and explore my passion. I got interested in subjects like Solid waste management and Planning aspects.

India is a developing country which lacks proper urban planning. We have tried different methods and approaches to plan Indian cities with smart City missions and renewal schemes. I am passionate about sustainable practices in Urban planning and would love to pursue it to the next level. Currently I am doing my masters in Urban planning at School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi.

As part of my studies, I did my summer internship at IPE Global Limited. I worked under the project title, "Project development and management consultant under Swadesh Darshan 2.0 Scheme for the state of Sikkim".

At present I am actively seeking new job opportunities and would welcome the chance to connect with professionals in my field.

It gives me immense pleasure to share that I had the opportunity to present our paper at the National Conference on 'Calibrating Urban Livability in the Global South: Gendered Perspectives on Climate, Health, Governance, and Policy', supported by the Urban Studies Foundation at MANIT, Bhopal.

Our paper titled, "Advancing Gender Inclusive Tourism Planning: Infrastructure Improvements, Safety Measures and Sector wide Advocacy" was presented during Panel Session 1: Gendered perspectives in Urban Spaces, chaired by Ms. Joyatri Ray and Prof.Gaurav Raheja on 27th March 2024.
