I am an Architect, Photographer, and Artist with a keen interest in Urban Planning. My interests have always revolved around buildings, their form, and the landscape that surrounds them. I am fascinated by how people perceive space and how the character of each space changes with time and use.
The TUEWAS Women Expert Database is a vital platform that shines a spotlight on the knowledge and achievements of women across transport, urbanism, water, energy, and climate sectors in Asia. By elevating the profiles of female experts, it not only champions gender equality but also promotes diversity and inclusivity in industries traditionally led by men. This database addresses the underrepresentation of women in expert roles, ensuring that their valuable expertise is recognized and that a more balanced, fair representation of professionals is achieved across these critical fields.
After completing my B.Arch degree, I worked with C.AT LaBISHaS Design Lab as an architect. At CLDL, I had the opportunity to be part of various projects of different scales—from buildings to urban design projects, landscape projects, and conservation projects. Due to my inclination towards urban planning, I applied at the Directorate of Urban Affairs as an urban planner under the TULIP internship by MoHUA. I worked at the department for eight months, which gave me opportunities to grow and explore my passion. I developed interest in subjects like solid waste management, inclusive cities, and planning aspects.
I completed my Master's in Urban Planning at the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. Currently, I am working at Assystem India Limited as an Urban Planner in their Hyderabad office.
