Architect and urban planner driving sustainable transportation solutions
Jyoti Ahlawat is an architect and planning professional with over 5 years of experience in the public sector spanning urban planning, transportation, and sustainability. She currently serves as a Technical consultant for Green Freight project with the Ministry of Commerce & Industries, providing technical advisory on initiatives to enhance freight efficiency and sustainability.
Jyoti has worked on the National Master Plan at the PM GatiShakti National Transport Logistics Portal, coordinating cross-disciplinary teams to formulate infrastructure connectivity plans and logistics policies aligned with global standards. Previously, she has also worked with the Delhi Government, Telangana government, NHSRCL, GIZ India.
An alumnus of the School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi, Jyoti is passionate about leveraging her background in architecture and regional planning to drive forward innovative transportation solutions. She has specialized expertise in areas including logistics, public transportation, transit-oriented development, and climate resilience strategies.
When not working, Jyoti enjoys traveling and learning about sustainable practices in cities across the world. She also has a keen interest in applying geospatial tools and data-driven solutions to promote environmental sustainability.
Jyoti aspires to continue serving the public sector to create cleaner, safer, and more efficient transportation networks.
