Li Fen, Researcher at professor level, Ph.D., Chief Engineer of Shenzhen Institute of Building Research Co., Ltd, deputy secretary general of the Ecological Committee of Chinese Society for Urban Study. Over the past five years, Li Fen has hosted and participated over twenty research projects, related to Energy & Environmental Nexus, urban livable spaces and ecological planning, which were conducted at national and provincial levels. She has further collaborated in eight international research projects. Her conducted research at national level included the Ministry of Science and Technology Intergovernmental International Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Project -- “Key Technologies and Demonstrations for comprehensive research on Urban Energy Systems and Carbon Emissions” collaboration with Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE and the Twelfth Five-Year National Science and Technology Support Program -- “Green Building Planning Pre-Assessment and Diagnostic Technology Research”. Her participation in international cooperative projects included projects such as the World-Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) – funded project: “Shenzhen Climate Change Adaptation Strategy Research”, and research funded by the World Bank Project (PSC) - “Typical City (Shenzhen) Challenges, Policy Tools and Institutional Framework”. Guangdong Province Science Planning Entrusted Project -- “Low-carbon City Construction in the Pearl River Delta”. And Key technology special project- “The Urban Livable Space Smart Model and the development of personalized decision-making systems”.

Currently, LI Fen is belonging to the Experts Database in following organizations: The Ministry of science and technology of the People’s Republic of China, the low carbon pilot projects of the Ministry of climate, Guangdong Provincial Department of science and technology, Tianjin Ecological Environment Bureau and Zhuhai natural resources bureau. Zhejiang carbon-neutralization projects, Guangdong near zero carbon emission zone demonstration project, World Bank IFC financial institutions of near zero carbon.
